History
Maple Freight commenced operations in Vancouver in 1997. What started out as a Vancouver-based company has steadily expanded over the years. We now operate offices across Canada as well as overseas. Although the focus of our initial business was inbound freight from the Far East, this has changed. The importing community was quick to appreciate our excellent service and this allowed us to gain market share in the shipping sector. In the years that followed, the company was able to grow at a remarkable pace by being alert to the shift in global trading patterns. Many manufacturers began moving more and more of their operations to developing countries. In response to this change, we established offices in the Orient to better serve our customers needs. Now, the vast majority of all strategic Asian hubs are serviced by our corporate offices and international agent network.
In 1999, Maple Freight became a CIFFA as well as an IATA member. Since the start of our business, we have grown along with our customers and vendors, expanded and refined company goals, strategies and services. We believe that it is through this constant self-evaluation and continuous improvement that we will be able to remain at the leading edge of the international freight forwarding industry.
